System Requirements for all versions of InvestmentPlan

Supported Operating Systems:
- Windows XP - Any computer running Windows XP service pack 2 and above should be able to run InvestmentPlan.
- Windows Vista - All versions should be able to run InvestmentPlan.
- Windows 7 - All versions should be able to run InvestmentPlan.
  - It is recommended that you install the trial version to see that it installs and runs correctly.
Required Software (prerequisite products ):
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP2.
This will install automatically if it is not already installed on your computer. You can install it yourself prior to installing InvestmentPlan if you wish, but ISoftware recommends that it be installed automatically.

You can check if this is already installed using the Windows/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs function.

For Vista or Windows 7 - Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition MUST be SP2 (Service Pack 2), which is the version that is installed with InvestmentPlan. Problems will only occur if you already have earlier versions than SP2 installed, you will need to upgrade to SP2, you can upgrade from the Microsoft download page click for page . (Note: The problem is that by default users on Microsoft Windows Vista operating system are not members of the SQL Server System Administrator role). Refer below for setup options required.
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
Windows Vista and Windows 7 have this have this as part of the operating system, but Windows XP does not.

- Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 2.0
This will install automatically if it is not already installed on your computer. ISoftware recommends that it be installed automatically.

Disk space for InvestmentPlan application approx 20MB, and database approximately 50MB. Refer to the links above for disk space for the prerequisite products (approximately 700MB total).
Other (memory, display, browsers, devices etc): the same as is required for Windows XP service pack 2.

The trial version is available free so that you can install and see if it runs correctly on your computer. If the trial version runs, then so will the licensed version.
